Age, physical standards, and medical standards for this role are the same as the assistant sub-inspector post. The educational qualification required for this role is 10th standard. Moreover, they should have a diploma in electronics, computer, radio & TV technology, or any other stream. Also, 12th pass students with 50% arks in PCM are eligible for this post.
Eligibility Criteria for BSF Head Constable (Operator & Fitter):

Selection Process for BSF Constable:
Physical Standard Test: The applicants will appear to a physical standard test for their height, weight, and chest. If anybody doesn’t meet these standards, then he/she will get eliminated.
Document Verification: In the document verification Phase, the original certificates of the candidates are verified according to their educational qualification.
Physical Efficiency Test: After completing the above two tests, candidates will go through a physical efficiency test which includes long jump, high jump, and race. This test has no qualifying marks, so one can pass this test by meeting the specified limits.
Written Test: After completing the PET, candidates will appear to a written test. The written test includes an objective paper of 100 questions. It has a total of 100 marks and no negative marking.

Selection Process for BSF Sub Inspector:
The selection process for the sub-inspector post contains several stages.
Written Test: The written test for the sub-inspector post is divided into Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 has a total of 200 multiple choice questions with 200 marks. The duration of this written test is 2 hours. Paper 2 questions are subjective with 200 marks. This paper also has a duration of 2 hours.
