Eligibility Criteria for AMCAT Exam

  • One of the best thing about AMCAT is that there are very minimal eligibility criteria associated with the test. The organization ensures that the maximum number of students are eligible to take the test.
  • If you appear in the AMCAT Exam for a technical domain, you should have completed B.E. or B.Tech. Students in the final year are also eligible for appearing in AMCAT.
  • Similarly, if you appear in AMCAT from Management Domain, you should have completed PGDM or MBA. Moreover, you are also eligible if you are in the final year of these courses.
  • There is also a provision for the students who are in BCA and B.Com to appear in AMCAT, and the criteria remain the same.
  • It should also be noted that there is no age limit associated with AMCAT, and there is also no limit on the number of attempts.

AMCAT Exam Syllabus & Pattern

Talking about the exam pattern first, You should note that the exam is conducted on a computer. You will get questions on logical reasoning, aptitude and communication skills in MCQ forms. You should also note that the only medium available for the test is English.

=> The exam duration of AMCAT is 3 hours, and the test doesn’t have any negative marking.

=> The test is divided into the compulsory module and the optional module.

=> The compulsory module has an English language test, logical ability, quantitative aptitude. Once you appear in all three modules, you will be given an option to select two optional subjects.

=> The English section has 18 questions, and you get 18 minutes for that. The quantitative ability section has 14 questions, and you get 20 minutes for that. The logical ability section has 12 questions. The quantitative ability tech section has 16 questions, and you have to finish them in 20 minutes. Lastly, the quantitative gathering section has 12 questions, and it can be finished in 15 minutes.

=> You also have to attempt the personality inventory section that has 90 questions, and 20 minutes are given for that. If you appear in the management domain test, you also need to give the excel test.

Attempt for AMCAT Exam

Many exams often cap the attempt for the students, but the good thing about AMCAT is that there is no such capping. You can appear in the exam as many times as you want. The only thing that you need to ensure is that you are appearing in the AMCAT at a gap of 45 days since the previous attempt. This means that you can appear in the exam over six times every year.

AMCAT Exam Dates for 2021

If you have decided to appear in the AMCAT, we have yet another good news. The good news is that the AMCAT is usually scheduled every month, and hence you can easily appear in the test. In over 32 cities, Aspiring Mind schedules this test once a month. In Tier II and Tier III cities, the frequency may vary. Also, usually, the AMCAT is scheduled on the 3rd of every month. So, we advise you to check the schedule and appear for the exam according to your comfort.

Fee for AMCAT Exam

When you apply for the AMCAT, you get to choose between the two subscriptions available to you. The options available are a one-year subscription and a two-year subscription. For the one year subscription, you need to pay Rs 990 + GST, and in this case, the score will be valid for a year. If you want your score to be valid for two years, you will have to pay Rs 990 + Rs 900 + GST. So, with every attempt, you need to select the subscription option.

The Registration Process of AMCAT Exam
