SSB Constable In-Hand Salary
The starting in-hand salary of an SSB Constable is usually around ₹35,000 to ₹43,000 per month, depending on place of posting, HRA category, deductions and ration-related benefits.
A posting in an X-category city gives higher HRA and higher Transport Allowance, so salary becomes better. In smaller areas or Z-category places, HRA is lower, so in-hand salary also becomes lower. Gross Salary vs In-Hand Salary
Gross salary means the total salary before deductions. In-hand salary means the amount credited to the bank account after deductions.

Main Allowances Given in SSB
